Textual Narrative – The most primitive structure of cinema is story telling. Broken down further it is language and how to construct meaning with language. Human languages are not static. They evolve. The meaning of any word, sentence and so on is open to various interpretations. Part of the vibrancy of language is the constant invention of saying things in new ways. It is understood by any speaker that communication is imperfect and any conversation is a search to find a common ground of agreed upon meaning.
