SHARE PRIZE 2008

Press Release
2nd Share Award 2008 Digital Art Award

Competition entries from 15th June to 30th September 2007 on the site www.toshare.it

Share Award is coming back: an international contest for works of digital art.

The competition aims to discover, promote and sustain digital arts and is open to all Italian and international artists.
The main requisite for participating in the competition is to create a work in which digital technology is applied as a language of creative expression. There is no limitation to shape or format, also in combination with analogical technologies and/or any other material (e.g. computer animation/visual effects, digital music, interactive art, net art, software art, live cinema, audiovisual performance, etc.).
An international Jury will award the trophy The Globe and a prize of €2,500 to the work (published or not) that best represents experimentation of arts and new technologies.
Candidates can register their competition entry on www.toshare .it from 15th June to 30th September 2007.
The names of the finalists will be announced by 30th October 2007 ( a shortlist of no more than six artists).
The finalists will be invited to participate in the 4th edition of Share Festival that will take place in Turin in March 2008 at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti. The six finalists, chosen from all the participants, will exhibit the work they have entered in the competition during the Festival. These six works will be published and reviewed in the Share Festival catalogue.
Every artist or group can enter a maximum of three works. Artists who are also group members can participate singly in the contest with up to three works.

Share Festival is produced by The Sharing Cultural Association. Artistic director: Simona Lodi. General director: Chiara Garibaldi. The Contest Information offices are at The Sharing Association premises. General coordinator : Manuela De Caro
