Three million people are dancing on my doorstep, this a video from last year:

My ancestors were sent into slavery in Barbados by Cromwell in the 17th Century so I, too, may have West Indian roots. But I was still the only white guy in a suit walking around coming home from a particularly unprofitable day at work. Caribbean culture is so Irish, but with better music and visuals. Still, it doesn't make me feel any better. I need a job that pays my rent!

It's pretty apt that the West Indian Carnival falls on Labor Day since the West Indians do all the grunt work in NYC. My landlady for 20 years was from Antigua so maybe I qualify for some little patch of this territory. Caribbean culture is so Irish...

The English ran out of Irish so then looked to Africa ...

Anybody know anything about Barbados? It explains "Pirates of the Caribbean, no? And explains Peter Doig, don't it?

And did I mention there are 3 million of "them" outside my doorstep and there are helicopters flying overhead searching for the gangbangers who I met in the morning going for my morning Dunkin Donuts? I have cousins who were white gangbangers in eastern Washington and are now in prison. Caribben gangbangers are particularly fearsome but they don't bother me because I look like a priest.
