We start by recognizing the patterns arranged by an unbelievably Stupid cause for no fucking reason whatsoever (like the pinky toe). Detecting this bullshit is used in a number of scientific fields, including bibliology, ontological anarchy, and austistic analysys and the search for extraterrestrial stupidity (SETS).

One example is the Flash intro. "Almost everybody knows that doesn't work, but every so often, a new website comes along and makes that mistake. That's stupid."

How does stupid design account for irreducibly complex structures? It doesn't - they are reducible. That they appear not to be (to us, semi-intelligent mortals) is of no consequence to the stupid designers. If it can be modified, it will be; if it doesn't work, it's lost.
