Sobralasolas ! episode 1 will be broadcast in the framework of Radio Day at Pavilion Gardens : Bring a radio and discover the secret broadcasts amongst the historic Pavillion Gardens.
Sonic Arts Network and RadioReverb 97.2FM present Expo Brighton, the UK's largest weekend of free sound art and experimental music, which will take place on 4-6 July 2008 in venues and spaces across Brighton. Expo is three days and nights of people enjoying, playing, discovering and listening to sonic art. Experience a wiki-conference, a radiophonic intervention in the Royal Pavilion Gardens, installations and performances, shopping centre public art, club nights and film screenings across the streets, buildings and air waves of Brighton. Issued from experimentations and research developed with Locus Sonus about live streaming practices and webmikes (Locustream Project), http://locusonus.org/ , Sobralasolas ! is a kind of a networked "radiopera" with streamed and recorded sounds by playing with different spaces, acousmatic ones and local ones, and by questioning sound composition between radio and performance.
