A tale of two cities. James Kalm is one on whom irony is not wasted. During a recent West Coast visit, as part of ongoing research, he dropped by the site of the historic Ferus Gallery at 728 A North La Cienegia Boulevard in Los Angeles. He recorded the mysterious apparent re-emergence of the gallery. Three weeks later and twenty-eight hundred miles east the mystery is solved when, while touring the latest version of the Armory Show, he discovers the impetus for the Ferus resurrection.
