Why we are protesting:

We are not only protesting BP because of the initial “spill”! We are beyond angry over the shabby treatment of the “little people” of the Gulf Coast and the blatant disregard for any type of preservation and preventative measures that COULD have and SHOULD have been used to limit the damage done to our culture, livelihoods, our environment, our health and the health of future generations! This does not even begin to cover the sickness we feel over the slaughter of the rare and endangered animals of the Gulf Coast who can do NOTHING to save themselves.

In the aftermath of the explosion that sent what could be surpassing billions of gallons gushing into the Gulf of Mexico, BP has refused to fully protect areas that could have been saved from oil exposure by keeping local government hands tied and the local citizens in fear. BP has refused to honor existing contracts with local businesses and have forced others to close by refusing to let local companies bid for contracts. BP has refused to stop using toxic dispersants like Cortex that is not only making the clean up job more difficult, but also causing MORE damage to the fragile ecosystem of the Gulf as well as causing major health risks to citizens who are forced to breathe in and touch the toxins.

Now we are having our First Amendment rights threatened by hired BP goons who like to call themselves a “security task force”. They try their hardest to prevent not only locals but also journalists from all around the world from spreading the word about what is REALLY happening to OUR world and our lives.

THIS COMPANY HAS DONE NOTHING BUT COVER UP THE TRUE SCOPE OF THE DISASTER AND LIE TO OUR FACES OVER THE SEVERITY OF THE DAMAGE!

OUR GOVERNMENT APPEARS TO BE ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL!

We need to continue to put as much pressure as we can on this company AND OUR LEADERS to let them know WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS INJUSTICE!
What is happening is UNFORGIVABLE. We won’t be bending over and offering BP our hard earned money while they continue to do wrong by us.

Are you worried about the station owners? THE STATION OWNERS NEED TO PUT PRESSURE ON BP TO DO THE RIGHT THING!

Are you worried about the pensioners dependent on BP stocks? TELL THEM TO PUT PRESSURE ON BP TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY OUR WORLD BECAUSE WE ARENT GOING TO STOP!

BP DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THE COAST, OUR PEOPLE, OR THE WORLDS OCEANS BUT WE DO AND WE WILL NOT STOP STANDING UP TO THIS BULL SHIT! THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS! DON’T EVER LET A FOOL TELL YOU THAT WE CANT CHANGE THE WORLD! WE ARE, WE CAN, AND WE WILL!
