ORCHESTRA OF ANXIETY new works by Manu Luksch and Mukul Patel

The Orchestra of Anxiety is a collection of instruments that use materials and technologies from the security and surveillance industries in their construction. The installation at Watermans consists of one physical instrument, a harp, and drawings of others. The harp has strings made of razor wire, and requires the harpist to wear protective gloves while playing. The instrument produces both sound and image – when struck, the strings trigger multiple projections and sound sources.
