MIXER, Eyebeam’s quarterly showcase for audiovisual performance and interactive art, goes back to the future – to the dawn of the imagined internet.

On Saturday, April 9, MIXER: Past Futures transforms Eyebeam’s vast West Chelsea space into an immersive environment combining video, music, design, and fashion to evoke visions of the future – both utopian and dystopian – as depicted through literature, movies, and video games of the recent past. MIXER: Past Futures conjures the spirit of both early internet theories and visual style, suggesting an alternate version of our own current reality, reflecting what was and what could be.
