Who is parodying Jeffrey Deitch on Twitter?

Someone on Twitter doesn't like Jeffrey Deitch, and the person has channeled his or her feelings into parody.

Last week, a Twitter account named @FakeDeitch started sending out messages that appear to mimic Deitch, the former gallery owner who recently became the head of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

The tweets include remarks directed toward MOCA staff, Eli Broad and Times art critic Christopher Knight...

As of Monday morning, @FakeDeitch had sent out 44 tweets and amassed a following of 119 Twitter users -- all in less than one week.

It's not known who is behind the @FakeDeitch account on Twitter. An attempt to get the user to reveal his or her identity has so far gone unanswered. A spokesperson for MOCA said that the museum has no connection with the Twitter account.

James Kalm is cycling down for the summer, but before being immersed in the art world doldrums, he ventures into Chelsea for one more Thursday night gallery crawl. "Reflexive Self" at Mike Weiss Gallery features a collection of images of the macabre. Large drawings by Dead Dads Corporation have the shocking presence of crime scene photos. Kim Dorland and Stefanie Gutheil peruse chunky colorful expressionism, while Marc Seguin leavens his austere canvases with conceptual content and blobs of oil paint and elicits a spontaneous diatribe from Daniel Larkin on his use of Hitler as subject. . Okay Mountain's "Benefit Plate" at Freight+Volume, is the latest offering by this Austin Texas based collective/gallery. These ten artists have received much attention for their whimsical humor combined with critical representations of American culture. Includes interviews with Carlos Rosales-Silva, Corkey Sink and Josh Rios.

In what may be the greatest environmental disaster in the nation's history, the supertanker TI Oceania docked without incident at the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port Monday and successfully unloaded 3.1 million barrels of dangerous crude oil into the United States.

...Vast amounts of the black, toxic petroleum in the ship's hold were unloaded at an alarming rate into special storage containers on the mainland.

From there, experts confirmed, the oil will likely spread across the entire country's infrastructure and commit unforetold damage to its lakes, streams, and air.
